I did a quick search on google for this today and found RFC2919
(http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2919.html). It suggests using a syntax like
this:
List-Id: <mckoidb.mckoi.com>
or
List-Id: McKoi Database Discussion <mckoidb.mckoi.com>
(with a description). I subscribe to a few lists that are hosted at
sourceforge.net and they all use this form, so that's why I thought it
was the most common one.
