Re: Local connection in web app



  I , like you, ran my site from home over DSL.  The virtual server I use is
based on User Mode Linux which gives you a virtual server with root login.
There are a number of hosting companies offering these (I use one called
ByteMark).  I find that although I am currently using a 64MB machine, the
network connection is incredibly fast and the website performs well.

When my traffic grows I will pay for more machine resources and just like
magic it will run faster.
